It is now 7 days to the 2024 Eurovision final in Malmo, Sweden. For  20 days running I will highlight one song from each of the last 20 years and I have started with 2004. Now with 7 days to go it this the 2017 Eurovision.

The 2017 Eurovision song contest took place in KYIV, UKRAINE. It is the second time the contest is hosted there, the first time was in 2005. We got a new country winning, namely PORTUGAL with a song called AMAR PELOS DOIS by SALVADOR SOBRAL. Although most fans were happy that Portugal finally achieved a victory, not everybody was happy with the song.

My favourite song from the 2017 contest is MY FRIEND by JACQUES HOUDEK for CROATIA. I loved the fact that he did a duet with himself, singing the pop part in English and the opera part in Italian.
