The 2024 Melodifestivalen selection began in Sweden with semi-final #1 taking place in Malmö.

Two acts went direct to the final –

• Smash Into Pieces – Heroes Are Calling
• Lisa Ajax – Awful Liar

Two songs will have a second chance to make it to the final which will feature in the fifth semi-final.

• Elisa Lindström – Forever Yours
• Adam Woods – Supernatural
