KAREL GOTT is probably the biggest artist ever to come out of the old Czechoslovakia. He has recorded between 500 and 700 songs in his  career. Roy van der Merwe of ESC Covers is a big fan of Karel, who represented Austria in the 1968 Eurovision song contest with a song composed by Udo Jurgens called TAUSEND FENSTER.

For a couple of weeks, we will publish several KAREL GOTT songs in  the Czech language – songs that have been big hits in English by other artists.

The second song is simply called DELLA in the Czech version. The original is DELLA AND THE DEALER recorded by HOYT AXTON, but LANCE JAMES also recorded it.
