The song is by Maria Celin, who had a sky-high 79% chance of the final, only beaten by Ulrikke, who had an 80% chance of making the final.

And the song certainly had all the elements that would make it a pretty sure finale song, but it wasn’t to be like that.

What those who set these odds could never realize was that Maria Celin was probably at least one number too short for such a song.

Not that she actually made a bad song, but she simply lacked the strength in her voice and the power and intensity in the performance that such a song actually has to have.

And unfortunately, and seen from a musical point of view, you are fortunately punished for that in MGP, I don’t think the song was staged particularly well either, this song should probably have been in the MGP drawer for another year and brought out again when it could be paired with right artist.

And with these words, MGP-2023 is history for me.
