IRU has made it to the grand final of The Voice Georgia with a beautiful and rousing version of the 2015 winning Eurovision song, Rise Like A Phoenix.
IRU was backed by a string quartet and the resident band and the staging and performance worked very effectively. She will now take her place in the final of The Voice Georgia where the eventual winner will go to the 2023 Eurovision in Liverpool, UK in May.
Eight acts will perform in the final. The mentors and teams are –
- Team Dato Porchkhidze – Iru Khechanovi (finalist) and Tako Kakalashvili (wildcard)
- Team Sopho Toroshelidze – Lika Siradze (finalist) and Tina Datikashvili (wildcard)
- Team Stephane Mgebrishvili – Anka Tatarashvili (finalist) and Likuna Tutisani (wildcard)
- Team Dato Evgenidze – Giorgi Datiashvili (finalist) and Kakha Aslamazashvili (wildcard)
IRU was a member of Group Candy who won the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest for Georgia.
