We all know that taste in music can differ, also during the Eurovision Song Contest… Where some countries give the highest points to the winner where other countries ignore the it. In a series we will look at each year – one by one. We cannot do 1956 as the scores were never made public.

In 1977 France won the Eurovision Song contest with Marie Myriam and her song L’Oiseau Et L’Enfant. Each of the 18 participating countries awarded 12, 10, 8-1 points to their 10 favourite songs. France got points from all countries but the the lowest number of points were given by Belgium, they awarded only 3 points to the winner.
