We all know that taste in music can differ, also during the Eurovision Song Contest… Where some countries give the highest points to the winner where other countries ignore the it. In a series we will look at each year – one by one. We cannot do 1956 as the scores were never made public.
In 1967 17 countries participated in the Eurovision Song contest. In each country a ten-member jury distributed ten points among their favourite songs. Only Spain and Yugoslavia gave no points to the winning song Puppet On A String, sung by Sandie Shaw. Sandie represented the United Kingdom and won with a lead of no less than 25 points.
