Morten Thomassen wrote of the song from SERBIA that ended in 5th place at the 2022 Eurovision song contest. ESC Covers google translated it from Norwegian to English.
From time to time there are songs that at first listen might sound special and such songs are rarely given big chances.
Then you get to hear the song a few more times and the song is assigned a cool stage show and voila, something has happened.
You get caught up in the specialness and the coolness factor of the song rises quickly and it becomes a song you just have to vote for.
It is obviously not all forms of cool that the jury falls for, it was just so happy about this and it helps to have good neighbours.
Exactly that helped with the audience as well and they gave the song “In Corpore Sano” over 2.5 times as many points, was it a little kick to the whole corona board we saw here that was so liked?
This meant that Konstrakta came in a nice 5th place, which was probably a bit above what most had imagined.
The lady sang well too and her show was damn good if you know what I mean.
It’s also nice that the Latin part of the song was translated into English, nice to know what is being sung about.
Our Serbian friends generally have a pretty good grasp of making it to the final, the three times they have not done so they have actually ended up in 11th place in their semi-final.
This country likes to have national finals and we can probably expect more good songs with final qualities in the next few years as well.
