SWEDEN has won the 2023 Eurovision song contest and will host in 2024. That co-inside with the 50th anniversary of them winning in 1974 with ABBA.

For around 50 to 60 days ESC Covers will post one song a day which is a Swedish song, either an actual entry, a selection song, or a song by a Eurovision artist covered in South Africa, either in Afrikaans or English.

For the next 4 posts, we deviate slightly from the norm and bring you 4 Swedish selection songs that were covered in Afrikaans and the featured image is different as these images were made for ESC Covers for this four songs.

Song 19 is the song MANBOY by ERIC SAADE.  He represented SWEDEN at the 2011 Eurovision song contest but tried in 2010 to be selected with MANBOY.

The song  was covered in Afrikaans as BAD BOY by BURGER LE ROUX, who won the last Supersterre edition on TV in South Africa.
