20th PLACE IN THE 2022 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST – ARMENIA

Morten Thomassen did a SNAP review of ARMENIA in 20th place at the 2022 Eurovision song contest. ESC Covers google translated it from Norwegian to English.

The lady who still took the whole bedroom on stage ended up in 20th place as a thank you for that job.

And we got to see once again that a perhaps not too interesting song can be included in is a stage show that lifts the song enough notches.

It is of course Rosa Linn from Armenia we’re talking about and her song «Snap».

The performance itself was not much to complain about, some extremely small and few vocal mistakes and she was probably not completely synchronized always when these pieces were to be torn down from the wall.

But, such is the trifle against all the work it must have been to make this stage set and all the work it was to get it up and down the stage.

If more and more countries are going to take half a house with them to have on stage, ESC can become a very long TV broadcast eventually and those who host really get to use their abilities for small talk.

Enough about that, our Armenian friend was almost twice as well liked by the jury as by the people and she gives a special thank you to the Georgian people who gave her 10 points.

So this was probably one of those jury songs that ordinary people probably find a little too boring to vote for and maybe they also did not let themselves be particularly impressed by the dope paper room that someone called the thing she sang inside.

Armenia actually came in place ahead of Norway in the semifinals, but in the final we did twice as well as them.

Since this country joined our beloved competition in 2008, they have lost the final only 3 times of which the two previous years they participated were 2 of them.

In other words, Rosa Linn got those sewing things in order again and we can probably count on them betting well next year, because this year’s 20th place is actually the worst position this country has had when they have been in the final and that is exactly the company they  hardly want to repeat.
