The dates for the 2025 Söngvakeppnin national selection have been announced in Iceland by the broadcaster, RÚV, with some format changes agreed.

There will be two semi-finals on 8 and 15 February with the grand final taking place on 22 February.

10 songs will compete over the two semi-finals with three advancing to the final from each semi. This means there will be six songs in the final and there will be no wild card this year.
