VACANCY AT ESC COVERS

ESC COVERS is now a fan website. In the past it acted as the official website for OGAE REST OF THE WORLD but a new website for the club has been created and now ESC COVERS is a normal fan website like many others. I am the owner of it and stays in South Africa so it is an international website in a very unique country in relation to Eurovision. So for 2017 I will apply for accreditation for the website from the EBU. I am looking for one person to help on the website.
The criteria are as follows
1 – the person must have a workable knowledge of English as all posts are done in ENGLISH – I do not expect perfect English and it is not the home language of the website, it is just the universal language for all to understand.
2 – the person must be able to write some posts, not long but a few lines and it has to be slightly different from what usually comes on the market – ESC Covers is a niche website on Eurovision and therefore we do not cover everything but cover things about Eurovision that is interesting and a little different from the rest. I personally love the covering of EUROVISION songs in other languages.
3 – the person has to have some technical knowledge of WORD PRESS – I am personally not technical and I need someone who has some knowledge to make sure the posts are in the correct format and be able to solve technical glitches.
4 – the website is not a pressure website where we have to bring the news instantly and so you will not be required to do tons of post – 1 short post a day or every second day is good enough.
5 –we are not into interviews really so you will not be required to try and get interviews or do rehearsal videos or so.
6 –you must be able to take a photo or two – it makes a post always more interesting.
Now ideally this person must be able to come to KIEV and especially the first week. During the second week, there is very little to do for the person, so he or she will only really do things during the first week and focus mainly on the press conferences. As we need not do every one of the 43, the person can pick 8 to 10 of the 43 he or she is interested in and focus on that.
I will be applying for P accreditation for the person. Right now there is of course no 100% guarantee it will be granted as the EBU as not given the quotas for each website.
Like with all websites, it is on a voluntary basis so there is no financial reward for being an editor on the website.
We also have a facebook page EUROVISION COVERAGE and this person will be required to do 3 or 4 posts on this facebook a week. For example here the person can report on something he/she saw at EURO village or one night at EURO CLUB or so.
Interested people can write a short note to me at roy@esccovers.com
If the successful person is from Europe, he or she can also attend national selections with accreditation from ESC Covers as I will not be in a position to get there from South Africa. Likewise, such a person ca attend one or more of the pre parties for Eurovision like London, Amsterdam, Riga, Moscow etc.
