The popular cult 80s tv show, ‘Fame’, was hit viewing between 1982 and 1987. The Fame movie came first but the concept was developed in to a worldwide smash tv series and the cast became instant idols with hit singles and albums and sell out arena concerts.

In May 2019, eight members of the cast: Lee Curreri, Erica Gimpel, Carlo Imperato, Valerie Landsburg, PR Paul, Cynthia Gibb, Jesse Borrego and Nia Peeples performed a special Reunion Concert in Liverpool, England.

In 2017 one of the cast members P R Paul (who played Montgomery) arranged for a comeback song and asked ‘Fame’ cast members to join him with the project.  P R wrote the track, Satellite, with Ralph Stevens and James McVay produced it. The song was released in 2018.

Popular Swedish songwriter and producer, Johan Jämtberg, asked P R Paul if it was possible to make a remix of Satellite. The idea sounded a good one to P R and together with Mikael Gunnerås (producer/sound engineer) they worked on the remix concept.amn

The Swedish group Helges All Stars (Elin Wengelin, Ingrid Fröderberg, Victoria Rönnefall and Kimberly Rydberg) provided a modern and powerful backing vocals. Additional backing vocals were added by the LMA Choir from Liverpool (they appeared on X Factor UK in 2018).

The new releases remix has an updated music video (edited by LMA Choir). Valerie Landsburg (Doris) is the director of the original video and she had the idea for the cast to sing their part in the home towns. The cast featured are Jesse Borrego, Lee Curreri, Cynthia Gibb, Erica Gimpel, Carlo Imperato, Val Landsburg, P. R. Paul and Nia Peeples together with the LMA Choir directed by Stephanie Carr.

Proceeds from the music video and audio sales and streams will go to the Claire House childrens hospice in the UK.

Satellite (Jamtberg/Gunneras Remix) is available to stream and purchase from most digital stores.

You can see the remix video below. Special thanks to Ian Gamester and LMA for the video
