If the winner declines to participate in Esc (Like last year’s Sanremo winners refused to go to Sweden), there will be an internal selection and that replacing singer’s name will be announced in the coming day(s). CAN ARTISTS BE TOO OLD FOR EUROVISION?
Now on to another question in our series with no right or wrong answers. In the 2017 San Remo festival we had AL BANO, a sort of legend from Italy. He surely is not so young anymore. Our question is about the age of an artist in Eurovision – should there be a upper age, say 40 or can older artists also still win Eurovision? The pictures we are using Is of a special Al Bano & Romina Power vinyl single still from the old German Democratic Republic and probably a very rare item for collectors.
