Malta: The Entertainers – Singing Challenge-Kategorija B – results
Last weekend saw the final of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge-Kategorija B on Net tv in Malta. Some very talented singers took part in this competition and should be congratulated after some fine performances (not just in the final but throughout the challenge of the series).
The results of the Top 3 in the Kategorija B section and congratulations to –
- 3rd place: Rachel Lowell
- 2nd place: Charisse Ann Vassallo
- 1st place: Samira Cauchi
Let us also give special mentions to fine performances on the night by Milena Bianco with Never Enough, Demi Galea and Jealous and Thea Aquilina – Kieu Nista’ and all the participating acts.
For the Top 3 acts we saw Rachel Lowell perform Get It Right, Charisse Ann Vassallo sing Je Suis Malade and the winning act, Samira Cauchi perform Life On Mars.

Results released of 2017 Malta Eurovision Song Contest final
After Claudia Faniello‘s successful win for Malta with Breathlessly, the full public voting results of the 2017 Malta Eurovision Song Contest final have been released by the broadcaster PBS.
- Claudia Faniello – Breathlessly – 4,996 votes
- Janice Mangion – Kewkba – 4,544 votes
- Kevin Borg – Follow – 2,502 votes
- Brooke Borg – Unstoppable – 2,000 votes
- Franklin Calleja –Follow Me – 1,303 votes
- Maxine Pace – Bombshell – 627 votes
- Deborah C & Josef Tabone – Tonight – 572 votes
- Raquella – Ray Of Light – 551 votes
- Cherton Caruana – Fighting To Survive – 340 votes
- Klinsmann Coleiro – Laserlight – 332 votes
- Rhiannon – Fearless – 288 votes
- Crosswalk – So Simple – 245 votes
- Richard Edwards – You – 186 votes
- Jade Vella – Seconds Away – 166 votes
- Shauna Vassallo – Crazy Games – 159 votes

You will see it was a straight race between Claudia and the song performed in the Maltese language by Janice Mangion, Kewkba. The acts between third and fifth place received votes in the thousands but from sixth to last place the votes were in the hundreds.

2016 Eurovision Song Contest – first semi-final results
The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off in style with the first semi-final tonight. 18 countries competed and 10 acts qualified for the final on Saturday.
The 10 lucky countries to make it were –
- Azerbaijan
- Russia
- The Netherlands
- Hungary
- Croatia
- Austria
- Armenia
- Czech Republic
- Cyprus
- Malta
There were brief live clips recorded at the jury semi-final show of three of Saturday’s automatic finalists – France, Spain, Sweden
