Watch: Rachel Lowell perform ‘Dear Future Husband’

Rachel Lowell was a guest on The Entertainers tv show in Malta recently and she performed the Meghan Trainor hit, Dear Future Husband. Rachel again showed her versatility and talent performing with a live band.

Rachel won the 2019 Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza festival in Malta and has also competed successfully in other music competitions.

Rachel Lowell guests at KKI 2020 festival….and officially releases ‘Professuri’ and ‘Minn Kajfas Għal Għand Pilatu’ singles

Rachel Lowell was the champion of the 2019 Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza competition in Malta. In 2020 she returned to the festival as a special guest. Rachel performed her most recent song Professuri (Professors), which is from the final of the 2020  L-Għanja tal-Poplu competition. She also performed her winning song of the KKI 2020 festival, Li Stajt Nagħżel Jien  (I have to choose).

Rachel recently officially released Professuri and her song from the 2019 L-Għanja tal-Poplu, Minn Kajfas Għal Għand Pilatu (From Caiaphas To Pilate) to stream or purchase at most digital stores via CAP-Sounds.

Many congratulations to Rachel Lowell on winning the 2019 Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza contest in Malta with her song Li Stajt Nagħżel Jien (I have to choose).

Li Stajt Nagħżel Jien is composed by Mark Spiteri Lucas and Rita Pace. It is a beautiful ballad sung with passion and feeling by Rachel.

The songs at the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza are performed in the Maltese language and the show is broadcast on Net tv in Malta.

After her success at L-Għanja tal-Poplu, Rachel Lowell makes it to Indifest in Malta

Rachel Lowell recently had a big success at the 2019 L-Għanja tal-Poplu festival in Malta, where she took the Third Place award and also the Best Originality prize. Now Rachel has been selected for the finals of the 2019 Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza (also known as Indifest).

Rachel will sing Li Stajt Nagħżel Jien (I have to choose). The song is composed by Rita Pace and Mark Spiteri Lucas. The track is described as a traditional ballad.

Rachel is versatile in that she can sing ballad and upbeat song comfortably. Her song at the  L-Għanja tal-Poplu entitled Minn Kajfas Għal Għand Pilatu was an upbeat song that she composed entirely herself.

Rachel Lowell to represent Malta at Fan Vision 2019 – Eurovision Weekend

Rachel Lowell has been selected to represent Malta at the Fan Vision 2019 – Eurovision Weekend to be held over 12 – 13 – 14 July.

Members of OGAE Malta voted via the popular magazine and website GWIDA.mt. Three singers were selected from many submissions and congratulations to all of them for a very close contest.

Here are the results of the poll –

37.95% Rachel Lowell – A Million Voices (2015 ESC Russia)

32.82% Nicole Sciberras – Is It True? (2009 ESC Iceland)

29.23% Avenue Sky – Heroes (2015 ESC Sweden)

This is the fourth Fan Vision contest and the first time it has been held in Malta.

Malta have already won the contest twice before with Sebastian Calleja (2016) and Grecia Bezzina (2018).

More details of the contest and the special event will be released in the coming weeks.

Rachel Lowell has released a charming version of the Andra Day song Rise Up. Rachel has a beautiful and clear tone to her voice and her vocals work delightfully with this song.

Rachel took part in the 2016 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection and has appeared in many tv and festivals including The Entertainers – Singing Challenge in Malta and also the San Remo Junior 2017.

Rachel performed the charming ballad Rise Up by Andra Day. You can check out her performance below.
