Just one day after the 2020 Junior Eurovision song contest wrapped up, 2019 Ukraine entrant Sophia Ivanko (Sophy Ivy) has released a version of this years entry ‘Vidkryvai (Open Up).
Sophia presented the jury points for Ukraine in this years contest and could be seen in the green room sitting alongside her friend Olexandr Balabanov.
Produced by Mykhailo Tolmachov the ‘Vidkryvai’ cover very much bears the hallmarks of Sophia’s unique sound which she showcased on her debut album C.F (Crazy Friend) released earlier this year.
Listen to her track below and see if you can spot the ‘Spirit of Music’ Easter egg!
Eurovision memorabilia collectors should be on the look out for a new stamp that was unveiled yesterday (19/11/20) featuring this years Ukraine entrant Oleksandr Balabanov.
The stamp features a photo of Alexander from a photo shoot organised by the public broadcaster, along with the official Junior Eurovision 2020 logo.
Alex was presented with a framed presentation sheet yesterday when the stamp was unveiled in the main post office in Kiev.
Unconfirmed reports are that Alexander Balabanov (Олександр Балабанов) has won the Ukraine selection for Junior Eurovision.
With only the jury voting being known, it would now appear that it is impossible for Alexander to be overtaken when the public vote closes tomorrow and therefore he will represent Ukraine in Junior Eurovision 2020.
The official result is due to be announced later this week.
Alexander (14) who also took part in the selection process in 2018 and 2019, will now have the opportunity to represent his country with the song ‘open’ (Відкривай)
