COVER2COVER – T-SHIRT

On 23rd August 2020 we (ESC Covers, EuroVisionMusic, Eurovision Coverage and Destination Eurovision) started publishing pictures of  VICTOR BUSH modeling a Eurovision t-shirt and holding the promo material for that entry. It is to make artists aware of entering the COVER2COVER SINGING contest we are arranging – closing date for entries is 30th October 2020. We have also shot short videos and that we have uploaded the first few on our Youtube channel. We will publish this at random and the forth one is from GREECE 2005 – MY NUMBER ONE of HELENA PAPARIZOU. This turned out to be the winner that year. In total we will publish for 40 days in a row a different t-shirt.

JY IS DIE EEN – HI 5

On Saturday 25 July 2020 ESC COVERS will launch the COVER2COVER competition. In category one are 14 songs by South African artists that are covers of EUROVISION songs (actual entries or selection songs or Eurovision related because of the original artist who was an entry at Eurovision or by the composers who had written a Eurovision entry). We will list all 14 in the next days, the Afrikaans cover plus the original song.

The nineth song  is JY IS DIE EEN by HI 5  plus the original song MY NUMBER ONE by HELENA PAPARIZOU.

This is a Eurovision entry. HELENA PAPARIZOU won the Eurovision song contest in 2005 for GREECE. It is as of today still their only victory. HI 5 covered it in Afrikaans along with at least 5 other Eurovision entries.
