Ira Losco reveals ‘Walk On Water’ for Malta for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest

Ira Losco and PBS have decided that Walk On Water will be the song to represent them at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden in May. The song is composed by Lisa Desmond, Tim Larsson, Tobias Lundgren, Molly Pettersson-Hammar and Ira Losco.
Ira won the 2016 Malta Eurovision Song Contest selection with Chameleon (Invincible) in January. However, it was decided to review the possibilities of using another song for Eurovision. An expert panel reviewed 10 songs (including a revamped version of Chameleon). It was decided that Walk On Water would be the song to carry the Maltese flag to Sweden.
Ira represented Malta at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest with 7th Wonder and finished in second place.

Watch Nicole Azzopardi perform ‘Glorious’

It was in 2010 when Nicole Azzopardi represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Knock Knock!….Boom! Boom. She has since gone on to record several singles but has been concentrating more recently on acting, including the drama Hbieb u Ghedewwa. Nicole has of course been busy with important studies as well.
But music is her big passion and she has just performed her version of the Cascada song Glorious (2013 ESC Germany) on the Fondazzjoni Arka Marathon 2016 show. I am sure we will see a lot more of Nicole and her singing in the very near future.
