We have barely recovered from the news that 1976 Eurovision singer from Portugal Carlos do Carmo passed away when Nor Bert from the facebook Music, Eurovision and beyond informed us that another Eurovision singer has passed away, this time LIAM REILLY who represented Ireland at the 1990 Eurovision song contest with SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE and ended in second place. Nikke Allen also reported on his death and his song has special meaning to her as it was the inspiration to her novel with the same title.

Liam Reilly, an Irish singer/songwriter and a member of the group Bagatelle died on 1 January 2021 at the age of 65.
He was best known for his 2nd place at the Eurovision Song contest 1990 with the song Somewhere In Europe. He also composed the Irish entry for the Eurovision Song contest 1991 Could It Be That I’m In Love.
