Moldova held the first of their semi-final for the 2016 O Melodie Pentru Europa national selection. 12 acts competed and eight of them progressed to the final. The acts taking part were –

10. Viola – In The Name Of Love
11. Maxim Zavidia – La La Love
12. PRIZA – Rewind
A combination of expert jury and televoting decided what eight songs would qualify. They were –

The final will take place on 27 February. The second semi-final is on 25 February.
Estonia has begun the search for their 2016 Eurovision act with the first semi-final of the Eesti Laul competition. 10 acts competed and five of them qualified for the final by a combination of jury and televoting.
Following the earlier report by my colleague, Fred Medeiros, about the first songs in the 2016 Melodifestivalen in Sweden I can confirm the following results.
The results were decided by televoting and three acts went forward to the final. The three acts that did not make it have a chance still through the wildcard entry.
Ukraine are back for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Last night the first semi-final was held with nine acts performing and three progressing to the final.
Anastasia Prykhodko represented Russia at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with Mamo. The results were decided by a combination of expert jury and televoting. The jury were Konstantin Meladze (producer and composer), Ruslana (winner of the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest for Ukraine) and Andrdei Danilko (also known as Verka Seduchka – 2007 ESC Ukraine).
