Latvia: 2018 Supernova – first two acts qualify

The 2018 Supernova national selection began in Latvia with seven acts participating –

Albania: First night of Festivali i Këngës 56

The first of two semi-finals of the Festivali i Këngës 56 took place in Tirana tonight. The second semi-final will be tomorrow night and the grand final will be on Saturday to determine who will represent Albania at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal next May.

The qualifiers for the final will be announced after the second semi-final tomorrow.

Iceland: 2017 Söngvakeppnin – first semi-final – three acts direct to the final

The first semi-final of the 2017 Söngvakeppnin national selection took place in Iceland with six acts competing and three acts making it directly to the final.

  • Aron Hannes – Nótt

Portugal: 2017 Festival da Canção – first semi-final – four acts make it to the final

It is welcome back to Portugal for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and the first semi-final of the 2017 Festival da Canção took place yesterday in Portugal and four acts made it through to the final. Voting was a combination of jury and televoting.

The four acts to make it to the final are –

  2. Salvador Sobral – Amar pelos Dois
  3. Fernando Daniel  Poema a Dois
  4. Deolinda Kinzimba – O que Eu Vi nos Meus Sonhos

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off in style with the first semi-final tonight. 18 countries competed and 10 acts qualified for the final on Saturday.

The 10 lucky countries to make it were –
