From today, over the next 60 days, Ida Andia of Romania and Roy van der Merwe of South Africa will look at the 41 entries in the 2019 Eurovision song contest and mention one good point and one bad point of each entry.
We start off with Albania.
Ida – good point : I liked the colours on stage – red and black, like the Albanian flag.
Bad point : I did not like her dress too much.
Roy – good point : I like the fact that their entry is in their own language.
Bad point : Difficult to follow the message of the song in Albanian – would have liked maybe a portion in English.
Ida Andia from Romania has almost finished her discussion of the 18 songs in the 2019 Eurovision song contest from semi final 2. Today she looks at Albania.
I really appreciate Albania when, like most years, sends a song in their own language, Albanian. Jonida Maliqi has a very strong voice and is a popular artist in her country. She sings Ktheju tokes. I love the song, the instrumental, but unfortunately I do not see her qualifying. The lyrics transmit an important message – the return of those who have gone to other countries. The song is more touching because it is in Albanian, so the population of Albania, no matter where they are currently living, will surely understand the message.
