Bookies favourite Glasgow was surprisingly beaten into 2nd place when it was announced that Liverpool will host the 2023 Eurovision song contest.
Lord Mayor of Liverpool Roy Gladden says: “We’ve wanted it, we expected it but you’re always on edge. We’ll have a party that’s never been done before.” (BBC News)
The contest will take place at the Dockside arena on 13th May and more details of the cities plans will no doubt ne released in the coming weeks and months.
