Stefania has released the song she will represent Greece with at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. It is entitled SUPERG!RL.

SUPERG!IRL is an upbeat contemporary track composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos, Arcade and Sharon Vaughn.

Daði & Gagnamagnið have won the Söngvakeppnin national selection with Gagnamagnið (Think About Things) and will represent Iceland at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest.

VAL to represent Belarus at 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Da Vidna’

VAL have won the national selection in Minsk and will represent Belarus at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in The Netherlands with Da Vidna (Before dawn). The song was performed in the Belarussian language.

Valerie Gribusova and Vlad Pashkevich are the duo that make up VAL.

Samira Efendi will represent Azerbaijan at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest

Samira Efendi has been selected internally by the broadcaster, İctimai, and will represent Azerbaijan at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam in May.

She has successfully participated in local and international shows and events including The Voice of Azerbaijan.

Ben Dolic will sing ‘Violent Thing’ for Germany at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest

Ben Dolic has been chosen internally to represent Germany at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Violent Thing.

Ben was born in Slovenia and moved to Switzerland and reached the final of The Voice Of Germany.

Violent Thing composers include the successful Eurovision composer Boris Milanov.

Focus on Athena Manoukian (2020 ESC Armenia)

Athena Manoukian recently won the Depi Evratesil national final selection with her song Chains On You, and will represent Armenia at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.

Here we learn a little about Athena and her music career so far.

Athena is Greek-Armenian singer. She was born in Athens. In 2008 she took part in the Greece Junior Eurovision national selection with the song To Fili Tis Aphroditis (Aphrodite’s Kiss).

In 2011 Athena had a massive hit song in Greece called Party Like A Freak and she received several nominations at the Greek Video Music Awards. Then in 2012 she had another big hit for summer entitled I Surrender.

Athena released the song XO and it received a prestigious Armenian Pulse Award. She is also a songwriter and composed a song for the 2005 Eurovision winner for Greece, Helena Paparizou, called Palia Mou Agap (My Old Love).

Athena came to the United Kingdom in 2018 and auditioned for X Factor in front of the judges Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field. She gave a spectacular performance of Crazy In Love by Beyoncé.

The song, Chains On You, that Athena will sing for Armenia in The Netherlands in May is composed by Athena and DJ Paco.

Alicja Szemplińska will represent Poland at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Empires’

Alicja Szemplińska has won the Szansa na Sukces competition and will represent Poland with the song Empires.

Empires is composed by Patryk Kumór, Dominic Buczkowski-Wojtaszek and Laurell Barker.

The three finalists and their songs were –

  • Alicja SzemplińskaEmpires
  • Kasia DereńCount On Me

The voting was combination of expert jury and televoting.

Ana Soklič will sing ‘Voda’ for Slovenia at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest

Ana Soklič has won the EMA national selection and will represent Slovenia at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with Voda (Water).

Ana battled out in the super final with Lina Kuduzović but came through victorious with her power ballad.
