Ela Mangion won the Malta Junior Eurovision national selection last Saturday and will represent her country at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song Marchin’ On. The song is composed by Emil Calleja Bayliss and Cyprian Cassar,

Ela is 12 years old and has represented Malta several competitions such as the 2016 New Wave Junior in Russia, where she took the runner up prize. She also won the Euro Pop Contest in Germany in 2017. Ela also had success in Muzikos talentų lyga 2017 in Lithuania.

Darina Krasnovetska will sing ‘Say Love’ for Ukraine at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Darina Krasnovetska has been selected to represent Ukraine at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Say Love.

Although there was an online vote for songs selected in the national final it was an expert jury who had the final say in picking Darina to go to Belarus in November.

Darina is 11 years old and has appeared in The Voice Kids Ukraine and won the Black Sea Games twice festival on two occasions.

The first semi-final of the 2018 Depi Mankakan Evratesil (Junior Eurovision national selection) took place in Armenia with five acts making it through to the grand final.

Dalita & Mika
Dalita & Mika

Dalita Avanessian and Mika Varosyan were the presenters of the show. They sang a duet at the beginning. Dalita represented Armenia at the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the Welcome To Armenia. She is a top recording artist and tv personality and recently released a duet of Heroes (the 2015 Eurovision winning song of Sweden) with Sergey Sysuev from Ukraine in a joint combination of Armenian, Ukrainian and English languages.

Ela Mangion will represent Malta at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Marchin’ On’

Ela Mangion has won the local national selection and will represent Malta at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Marchin’ On.

Marchin’ On is composed by Emil Calleja Bayliss and Cyprian Cassar.

Ela won a competition made up of 16 competitors.

Jael Wena to represent Australia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Jael Wena has been selected to represent Australia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Minsk, Belarus in November.

Jael is 12 years old and is from Melbourne. She has won the Fast Track Talent Showcase for three consecutive years.

The song for Jael will be announced later in the year.

Daniel Aleks Yastremskiy has been selected to represent Belarus on his home turf in November at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. His song is entitled Time.

Ukraine decide to join the 2018 Junior Eurovision party after all !!

Last week we were advised there would be a record 19 countries taking part in the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Well make that now 20 !! Ukraine have decided after all to take part in the contest.

This is great news for the contest and Ukraine are also a previous winner back in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and Nebo. Can they do it again?!!

Anna Filipchuk to represent Russia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Nepobedimy’

Anna Filipchuk has won the national selection and will therefore represent Russia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Nepobedimy (Invincible).

12 acts participated in the grand final at the Artek event held in Crimea. Judges included Polina Bogusevich (the winner of the 2017 JESC for Russia) and Sergey Lazarev (2016 ESC Russia).

Tamar Edilashvili to represent Georgia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Tamar Edilashvili has been chosen to represent Georgia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk, Belarus after winning the special selection show Ranina

Tamar won through a tough competition where the acts performed with an orchestra and established Georgian singers each week.

Tamar is 12 years old and made it through to the finals of the 2017 X Factor Georgia.

In the grand final of Ranina, Tamar performed the Georgian winning song of the 2016 Junior Eurovision, Mzeo, by Mariam Mamadashvili.

The song for Tamar for the 2018 Junior Eurovision will be chosen later in the year.
