San Marino have announced a unique way of selecting their 2018 Eurovision Song Contest participant. The will organise a Europe and beyond talent casting call for all types of singers. The talent should submit videos to www.1in360.com up until 30 November. Candidates are encouraged to submit cover versions but of course original songs will be listened to also.
To be considered by the jury, candidates should either obtain 100 likes and/or shares for their submission, or avoid this by paying €4,99 euros per entry.
The first act for the 2018 Eurovision campaign sees Laura Groeseneken chosen to represent Belgium in Lisbon next year. The Flemish tv broadcaster chose Laura on this occasion.

A treat for Eurovision fans is Laura singing the 2017 Eurovision winning song from Portugal in English – Love For Both.

Lisbon has been confirmed as the host city of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. The semi-finals will be on 8 and 10 May with the grand final on Saturday 12 May.
After the victory by Salvador Sobral with Amar Pelos Dois in Ukraine in May this year it will be the pleasure for Portugal to hold the contest for the very first time.
The Executive Supervisor of the EBU, Jon Ola Sand, told the press “We are very pleased to announce that RTP will be hosting the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. The City has presented an exemplary proposal, and we look forward to working together to make Portugal’s first ever Eurovision the most exciting one yet. We would like to congratulate RTP on their professional and detailed assessments of all the bids.”
