The second last rehearsal of the day is from a returning artist. It is PASHA PARFENI.
There is a change of pace now with Pasha Parfeni from Moldova singing Soarele și Luna. If you need emojis, this translates as ‘the sun and the moon,’ so that’s all very helpful ☀️🌙.
This isn’t Pasha’s first spin around the Eurovision stage – he competed for Moldova in 2012 too. Many do remember who won that year, although some would like to forget. It was Loreen for Sweden with a song called Euphoria. And as it is, she will be 10th and last to rehearse today.
Eurovision.tv reports there’s so much to love about this performance from Moldova – the huge drums, Sergiu the epic flute guy, Pasha’s atmospheric vocals, the two backing singers with huge horned headdresses. It’s the kind of ethno-banger we used to see a lot more often at Eurovision, and all together it creates a performance that’s pulsing through the arena floor. This is going to go BIG in the Liverpool arena next Tuesday.
Stephan Herholdt designed the Moldova promo CD single for ESC Covers and here it is.
