Nicole Hammett has had a great success at the La Bussola competition in Italy. She won first place in Bussola covers category with her version of the Aretha Franklin classic, Think. She also won third place in the original song category singing in Italian.

Nicole was the only Maltese singer selected for the much respected La Bussola competition, which was very popular in the 60s and 70s, and legendary singers such as Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker, Mina and Lucio Battisti have performed there.

After her wonderful and soulful performance of Think, Nicole won first place out of around 100 semi-finalists and qualified for the finalissima.

Nicole also took third place in the category of original songs with La Voce Mia (My voice). It was composed by Marco Petriaggi.

Nicole Hammett took part in the 2022 Malta Eurovision national selection with A Lover’s Heart. She has also had much success in various festivals and competitions and recorded much acclaimed cover versions and music videos of Zero Gravity (Kate Miller-Heidke – ESC 2019 Australia) and La Forza (Elina Nechayeva – ESC 2018 Estonia).
