For several days to come we will look at the German Eurovision winner of 1982 NICOLE and original songs by her that have been covered by South African artists in Afrikaans or English.

The 24th NICOLE song is LASS MICH NICHT ALLEIN  from 1986.

This is probably the second most covered song of Nicole.

The most successful Afrikaans cover of the song  is DIS ‘N LAND by CARIKE KEUZENKAMP with Afrikaans lyrics written by JOHAN STEMMET. It is on Youtube.

All other Afrikaans covers are also DIS ‘N LAND. The ones I am aware of are CARIKE KEUZENKAMP in duet with STEVE HOFMEYR, HI 5, JOHAN STEMMET, JOMARI, MICHELLE VAN STADEN,  DIE ALABAMA STUDENTE GESELSKAP, SNOTKOP, PIETER SMITH, WYNAND & CHEREE STRYDOM and CHEREE solo.
