MANS ZELMERLOW IS BACK IN THE SWEDISH EUROVISION SELECTION AFTER 10 YEARS

ESC Covers got a press release from Sweden and we are sharing it with your readers.

After ten years, Måns Zelmerlöw is back in Melodifestivalen. Tomorrow, February 22, he will perform in Malmö with the song Revolution , his first competition entry since winning with Heroes in 2015 – the song that brought him Eurovision victory and an international career.

“I haven’t felt like any song was right for a comeback until now. Revolution is energetic and arena-compatible, and I hope the audience feels the same way about it as I do. Regardless of the result, it feels great to be back!” , says Måns.

The song was written together with David Lindgren Zacharias, Ola Svensson and Sebastian Atas. The process took an unexpected turn when Måns decided to start over from scratch – a decision that proved to be crucial.

“I’ve written many songs in my career and know that it has to feel right. When I came into the studio they already had an idea, but I immediately felt that we needed a fresh start. I had a title in my head – Revolution. When David found the right chord progression, everything fell into place, and after two hours the song was ready,” says Måns.

In addition to Revolution, he also releases Broken and an acoustic version of the song – one of his most personal songs to date.

“2024 was a tough year for me personally, but the music became a safe place. Broken means a lot to me, and the lyrics speak for themselves,” he says.

Melodifestivalen has always been special for Måns, and he is looking forward to being on stage again.

“To be able to create a number where every second counts – that’s something I’ve missed. It’s going to be a lot of fun to compete again!” , he says.

Tomorrow, February 22, Måns Zelmerlöw will perform Revolution at Melodifestivalen – a song he is passionate about and looks forward to sharing with the audience.
