The 2019 L-Għanja tal-Poplu competition took place in Malta last weekend.  The songs are all performed in the Maltese language with a live orchestra. Here are the results of the respective categories.

1st:  Philip Vella – Il-Verità (composer of many Malta Eurovision songs)

2nd: Cherylis – Tfewwaħ

3rd: Rachel Lowell – Minn Kajfas Għal Għand Pilatu

Best Interpretation: Janice Mangion – Għadu Mhux il-Waqt

Best Originality: Rachel Lowell

Best Singer/Songwriter: Cherylis
