Jill Svensson has released her brand new single entitled Breakaway. The track is composed by the Swedish composers Ylva and Linda Persson from Sweden, who have written several Eurovision national final songs in recent years. Jill explains “When I heard the song ‘Breakaway’ I just knew I had to sing that song. For me, it is about breaking free from whatever chains hold you back, building something great, following your dreams and your passion!”.

Jill’s first break was in the tv series Körslaget in 2009 and was in Amy Diamond‘s choir team. In 2010 Jill won the Talang (Sweden’s Got Talent) show and as a result won with a performance of Amazing Grace. Her first Swedish single was Dagen är nära (The day is near). She then toured with former Swedish Melodifestival act, Timoteij. Her first album was released in 2011 titled ‘Vaken i en dröm’ (Awake in a dream). In 2014 Jill released another single Standing Strong and also released her a Christmas album, ‘Strålande jul’.

Jill told ESC Covers “I have always been singing and when I got bullied, music became my hide-out and my saviour. I started in a childrens choir when I was little and the choir-leader saw I had talent and gave me the confidence to sing solo! From there I kept on getting better and I started singing on talent-shows. In 2010 I won Talang at just fourteen years old and I was singing Opera and classical music. After winning I got the chance to tour all of Sweden, singing with the biggest artists in Sweden.”

Jill has a very strong and crystal clear vocal. You can buy or stream Breakaway on digital platforms such as –
