Levina will represent Germany at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with her upbeat song Perfect Life. She won the Eurovision Song Contest – Unser Song 2017 national selection.
Five acts competed and they all performed cover versions –
- Axel– You Know My Name (Chris Cornell)
- Felicia – Dancing On My Own (Calum Scott)
- Helene – Folsom Prison Blues (Johnny Cash)
- Levina – When We Were Young (Adele)
- Yosefin – Love On Top (Beyoncé)
Three acts then progressed to the next phase where they performed one of the two potential Eurovision songs for Germany in Kiev. The song was Wildfire.

- Levina
Axel and Levina qualified for the next round where they both performed the other possible Eurovision song – Perfect Life.
So, we then went to the vote for the best combination of singer and song and Levina won in both cases. She then performed both songs again.
After an interval that involved a medley of Eurovision winners from Ruslana (2004 ESC Ukraine), who performed Euphoria (2012 ESC Sweden), Nicole (1982 ESC Germany), who sang Merci, Cherie (1966 ESC Austria) and Conchita 2014 ESC Austria), who gave a performance of Lena‘s Satellite (2010 ESC Germany).
Finally, it was declared that Levina would sing Perfect Life and she will sing this for Germany in Ukraine in May. The song is composed by Lindy Robbins, Dave Bassett and Lindsey Ray.
