During the opening of the Olympics 2024, several Eurovision artists made an appearance.
Celine Dion, who won the ESC in 1988, sang Hymne A L’Amour, a 1949 French song with words by Édith Piaf and music by Marguerite Monnot. Slimane and Lara Fabian also sang during the opening, together they sang Je Suis Malade, a 1973 song by Alice Dona and Serge Lama. Slimane also sang his 2024 Eurovision song Mon Amour.
