Eliana Gomez Blanco had much success at the 2021 Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza festivals in Malta as both a singer and composer at the adult and junior contests.
In the final of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2021, Eliana had three songs as a composer and she performed two of them. The songs she performed were Raġġi Taż-Żerniq (Dawn rays) and penned by Julian Farrugia. This finished in fourth place. Min Qal? (Who said?), and penned by Ingrid Vella, finished in seventh position. The song that Eliana composed, and penned by Etienne Micallef, was Forsi Ismi Ssejjaħ (Maybe my name is calling) performed by Mark. This finished in the runner up position.
Eliana had five songs in the final of Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Junior 2021 as a composer. In the category A section with the song Perfetti (Perfect) by Mariah Agius she took 3rd place and in category B took 2nd position with Nitolbok (Please) performed by Shanice Micallef. Both songs were penned by Rita Pace. The other songs that reached the final were – Mariah Grech – Ajruplan tal-Karti (Paper airplane) penned by Etienne Micallef, Kristy Said – Univers (Universe) penned by Etienne Micallef and Lior Schembri – Ħabib Wahdu (Wahdu friend) penned by Rita Pace.
Congratulations to Eliana on an amazing achievement as a talented singer and composer. Her success is thoroughly deserved with the promise of more exciting music and procurements ahead.
