Sanet Vosloo is a successful business woman. She lives in Windhoek, Namibia. She is the fifth person to tell us of her Discotheque memory. We are doing this because the group THE ROOP from Lithuania picked a song called Discotheque for the 2021 Eurovision song contest. We allowed people to also pick a non Eurovision song, if such a song brings back special memories.

Sanet writes as follows:

In 1978 I broke up with the boyfriend – he was my first boyfriend and we were together from high school. I was heartbroken but one of my girlfriends tried to get me to “live” again and took me one night to a discotheque. The first song that played was I WILL SURVIVE by GLORIA GAYNOR and just there I decided there is live after this broken affair. A nice looking guy came to me and asked me to dance. Well, to cut a long story short, today he is my husband and I am a shining example of the fact that you can survive what seemed like a huge tragedy in your life.
