SWEDEN has won the 2023 Eurovision song contest and will host in 2024. That co-inside with the 50th anniversary of them winning in 1974 with ABBA.

For the next 50 days ESC Covers will post one song a day which is a Swedish song, either an actual entry, a selection song, or a song by a Eurovision artist covered in South Arica, either in Afrikaans or English.

WATERLOO unfortunately was never covered in Afrikaans and although there are some covers in English, they all were part of medleys or are not available on Youtube.

Some of the covers were done by PATRICIA LEWIS, JAY & LIANIE MAY and MARISKA.

So we are publishing the original English version by ABBA.
