ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT – AUSTRALIA

Eurofriend profile and Artist announcement by Sydney “Syd” Asiapacettefriend (Designed by Carolina Añazgo Leo of Peru):
Sydney “Syd” Asiapacettefriend
Country that represents: Australia
Birthday: January 26
Eurovision event her country debuted: Eurovision Song Contest 2015
Eurovision Events her country has hosted: None as of now

Likes: Listening to the latest Asia-pacific music, watching long-running anime shows with her brothers London, Dublin and Cardiff (and idolizing her favourite Japanese voice actors at the same time), discovering Eurovision with her friends and having picnics with her Koala pet on her favourite eucalyptus tree!

If there’s any friend in the song contest who loves to spread the asia pacific culture to the Eurofriends from Chinese opera and Bollywood movies to k-pop and anime, Sydney is the right friend for the job! She’s living the Eurovision career she always wished for and she’s learning a lot of Europe’s (and Australia’s) favourite TV show.

This girl dreams for an anime about ESC starring her and all her fellow Eurovision Land pals with her fave Japanese voice actors (Even if uses the actors names as nicknames for her friends when she’s esc-cited!), that wish will make her heart flag aflutter, alongside winning esc and helping the host friend to fulfill the duty. Her brothers and friends love her attitude for adding the Asia-pacific culture to town with lots of happiness!

Message from Sydney “Syd” Asiapacettefriend: “G’day, ni-hao (In Chinese) and saying in Japanese “konnichiwa everyfriend!” I’m Sydney, but my friends and family calls me Syd! Recently i picked my Eurostar for esc. You already remember Jessica, she was the interval act for Esc 2014 when Copenhagen hosted it! Now she’s doing full Eurostar duties and i’m esc-cited about it! Now i have to see my country do it’s best and give a 12-point best result in Portugal on May 2018! I’m looking foward to see everyfriend’s picking their Eurostars, and i’m the 6th friend to do so!”- By Sydney “Syd” Asiapacettefriend

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT – BELGIUM

Artist thoughts by Brussels Eurettefriend (Designed by Carolina Añazgo Leo):

“Say Cheese! I’m Brussels and my job is of course: making people smile in Eurovision makes me happy. I like to take photos of everything and everyfriend around me and I have a photographic memory, so I can remember who is who in Eurovision Land! Ready for a selfie? I do! With the other Eurofriends and beloved ones I put happiness in their faces.

I’m happy for Laura. She has achieved a lot in her 27 years. But now, she’s ready to share smiles here and at the announcement last night sang Salvador’s song in English. Reactions so far seems fairly positive. Belgium is taking the contest seriously and Laura has not enough time to plan on a good song. I’m smiling whatever happens during the Contest. My motto to my Eurostars: “Keep smiling in every situation, even in Eurovision” It always worth a million smiles!”- By Brussels Eurettefriend

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT – SERBIA

Artist thoughts by Belgrade Eurettefriend (Designed by Carolina Añazgo Leo)

“I’m Belgrade Eurettefriend and it’s nice to meet… and know your passion for Eurovision! I’m always learning and writing books about new things about the Song Contest around us! Like the time my country debuted at Esc, it won thanks to Marija. Or recently in the latest jesc, when I learned to accept how to being in bottom 3… but is fun to know many things about me and each of my friends countries and how things work for each of us!

Here’s something to know about Tijana, she accepted the opportunity to be a Eurostar at this year’s Esc and she has a team of producers who’ve been in the Contest before (And bring Vienna’s country a 2nd victory). As i always say to my friends and Eurostars alike: Everyfriend who’s in a Eurovision event, they learn a valuable esc-perience to grow as a person! Here’s a fun fact you already know: She was a backing singer in the 2011 contest, but now she’s on her own path writting a new page of the history of Serbia at Esc.” By Belgrade Eurettefriend

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT – CROATIA 2017

Artist thoughts from Zagreb Eurofriend (Designed by Carolina Añazgo Leo):

“Zagreb here to be a hero! Things are getting shape in Eurovision lately! And Jacques was chosen to represent my country in the upcoming Song Contest in Kyiv! I can count the days to let that happen!
About Jacques… what could say about him? He’s a talented artist and was on my (now defunct) national final Dora. He tried so hard in all those years, and i guess it’s time to get a chance to shine in the esc stage and be a hero in recent history!

This story of a hero is just getting started! And I promise is going to be epic, just like me when I save the day and help others to write their own heroic stories and make their mark!” – By Zagreb Eurofriend
