Ayana will represent the Netherlands at the 2021 JESC with ‘Mata Sugu Aō Ne’

Ayana has won the Junior Songfestival and will represent the Netherlands at the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris with the song, Mata Sugu Aō Ne (See you soon).

Mata Sugu Aō Ne is composed by Ferry Lagendijk. There are parts of the song in Japanese and English and, of course, Dutch.

The four finalists of the 2021 Junior Songfestival –

  • Priscilla – Be Alright – 26 points
  • SH!NE – A Million Little Things – 28 points
  • AyanaMata Sugu Aō Ne – 33 points WINNER
  • Melody – Niet Wat Vrienden Doen (Not what friends do) – 28 points

The jury included Jeangu Macrooy (2021 ESC The Netherlands). The voting was a combination of Kids Jury, Adult Jury (Jeangu Macrooy, Emma Heesters and Rolf Sanchez) and public vote.

Unity, who represented the Netherlands at the 2020 JESC, were also special guests. They were on the Kids Jury with Robin and also Jackie & Janae from the 2020 Junior Songfestival.
