Ellen Benediktson is one of the 7 candidates in tonight’s third semi final in Sweden. Her 2014 selection song SONGBIRD is very good and today I got confirmation that it will be covered in AFRIKAANS and production on it starts on Monday.

SHEEBA – IRELAND 1981
I read on another website that one of the three members of SHEEBA, who sang for Ireland at the 1981 Eurovision with HOROSCOPES has retired. She is Maxi (Irene McCoubrey). Here is the cover of another Sheeba single COMING TO YOU. Interesting is that this song was composed by Dutch composers Peter van Asten and Richard de Bois who write the 1984 Dutch entry IK HOU VAN JOU for Maribelle.
