ABBA 50 YEARS IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS – Song 16 If it wasn’t for the nights

ABBA has been in the music business for 50 years. To celebrate that happy event, INFE Ireland and INFE South Africa are hosting the ABBA TOP 50 from Monday September 20 to Tuesday November 9. We’ll be posting what we think are the 50 best ABBA songs in alphabetical order. Enjoy!
ESC COVERS add a cover to every ABBA song.  For the song IF IT WASN’T FOR THE NIGHTS, we have HAZELL DEAN who also sings it in English.

THE 16th ABBA SONG IN OUR LIST IS:
If It Wasn’t for the Nights, a song recorded in 1978 for ABBA’s sixth studio album, Voulez-Vous. If It Wasn’t for the Nights was considered by the band members to be one of the strongest songs recorded during the Voulez-Vous sessions and was originally intended to be the lead single from the album. In December 1978, a new song entitled Chiquitita had been recorded, and it was ultimately decided that this would be released as the lead single from the Voulez-Vous album instead. As a result of this decision, If It Wasn’t for the Nights remained an album track.
