Oh Kaliopi so close to a second eurovision final for you. Am a big fan of Kaliopi i like her music she is a great artist and has an outstanding voice, The song Dona was sung beautiful in Macedonian it was a ballet and performed well
she gave me goosebumps hearing her live at the eurovision.With most of the other countries singing in english she too a risk and placed 11th in semi final 2.
I’m also a fan of Kaliopi and was excited at the opportunity to see her perform after she was selected to represent FYR Macedonia. She has incredible vocals! Her performance at Eurovision was as I expected. She even threw in some of her power vocals to liven up the song more. But in comparison with the other songs this year, Dona sounded out of place and maybe even “dated”. Perhaps too much “Balkan schlager,” if such a genre exists. But nevertheless, I’m a fan and enjoyed her performance.
Eurovision loves a power ballad and this one I thought would have been an easy Top 10 but this year certainly provided some surprises in semi-finals results.
