JJ has been announced as the representative for Austria at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland in May.

Johannes Pietsch is the real name of JJ. He is 23 years old with an Austrian/Filipino background and is a contemporary artist becoming popular in the classical music world at the Vienna State Opera, where he is a countertenor and male soprano. JJ also was a popular contestant in the Starmania tv show in Austria and also appeared on The Voice UK in 2020.
