In 1966 UDO JURGENS won the Eurovision song contest for AUSTRIA with MERCI CHERIE which he sang in German.

UDO himself recorded versions in various languages like English and Japanese. But other artists covered it as well. CONSTANTIN DRAGHICI is one such artist. He covered it in Romanian, keeping the title the same.
