ZOË and the classic retro sound of ‘Carmen’

ZOË has released her new single called Carmen. It has a new twist on a classical piece by George Bizet and was inspired by ‘Habanera’ from Carmen and features part of the original chorus together with new lyrics and some gypsy influence.

Carmen is composed by ZOË Straub,  Christof Straub, Georges Bizet and Michael Scheed. Production is by Christof Straub. The track is available to stream from all digital platforms.

ZOË represented Austria at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. She currently working on a very exciting project. ‘EPOS – The Musical’ is  based on an idea from the Nibelungenlied song based on a German legend from historic events and individuals of the 5th and 6th centuries that spread through the Germanic parts of Europe. The musical will also star Cesár Sampson, who sang for Austria at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.

You can hear Carmen below as well as see ZOË with a preview performance of the song back in May at the Euroclub during Eurovision 2024 in Sweden.
