For several days to come we will look at the German Eurovision winner of 1982 NICOLE and original songs by her that have been covered by South African artists in Afrikaans or English.

The forth NICOLE song is FLIEG NICHT SO HOCH, MEIN KLEINER FREUND from 1981.

There is no Afrikaans cover of the song by a South African artist but there are at least 5 covers in English.

JOANNA FIELD has a top 20 hit with DON’T FLY TOO HIGH.

Other English covers were done by ELIZE VAN NIEKERK, ELIZMA THERON and two duets, one ELIZMA with MANIE JACKSON and one JOANNA with MANIE JACKSON.
