Raiven will represent Slovenia at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in May 2024 in Malmö. She was selected by the Slovenian public broadcaster RTV Slovenija based on the votes of an international expert jury.
Raiven is a musical alchemist, masterfully fusing the realms of pop and opera. Showcasing her artistic versatility, she thrives as a mezzo-soprano singer, author, songwriter and harpist.
She expressed her aspirations, saying: “Representing Slovenia at Eurovision is a stepping stone I envision for my career’s progression. When I told my mother I was going to Eurovision, she said she knew I would be standing on that stage one day. She knew it since the first time we were watching this music spectacle together – I was five years old.”
The song which Raiven will represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with is titled “Veronika”. “I am Veronika, you are Veronika,” hinted Raiven.

“Veronika was one of the first three songs I created for my upcoming EP Sirene, and from the beginning, I participated in its creation as a producer,” said Raiven, who, like her previous works since her debut album “Magenta” is credited as the author of the music and lyrics.
“Veronika” will be premiered by Raiven in a special show on RTV Slovenija on January 20, 2024.
“Veronika” will be included on her upcoming EP “Sirene”, which is set to be released on February 17, 2024. The songs that she will place on this EP are based on exploring the stories of iconic women from different historical periods. Raiven will bring the symphony of Sirens to her audience at a concert in Cankarjev Dom on April 21, 2024, celebrating a decade of musical creation and research.

The decision about the selection was presented by RTV Slovenia at a media gathering in the SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, where in February 2024, Raiven will perform in the title role of the opera Maria de Buenos Aires.
The announcement was made by Bojan Cvjetićanin, the charismatic leader of Joker Out, renowned for steering Slovenia into the Eurovision Grand Final in Liverpool. He disclosed that Raiven is set to be their esteemed successor in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
