ROY TAYLOR PASSED AWAY

Norbert of ESC Dublin to Amsterdam wrote for ESC Covers over ROY TAYLOR who passed away.

Roy Taylor was a singer and bass player with the band Jump the Gun, who represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988 with the song Take Him Home.
Roy Taylor performed alongside his bandmates Brian O’Reilly, Ciaran Wilde, Eric Sharpe and Peter Eades at the contest, which was held in Dublin.
Taylor died following a battle with motor neurone disease. This is really tragic.
Roy van der Merwe remembered the group well as the 1988 contest brought his number 1 (Germany) and number 2 (Finland) Eurovision songs of all time.

    1. Interesting that your top Euro song is from 1988, TAKE HIM HOME, while mine is from the same year, GERMANY LIED FUR EINEN FREUND.
