ALL 37 2023 EUROVISION SONGS REVIEWED – SONG 34 – CZECHIA

Today Morten looks at the  entry from CZECHIA (now using the shorter name for the country). ESC Covers google translated it from Norwegian to English.

Girl groups are not very common in our dear competition, so it’s nice that Vesna from the Czech Republic (now just called Czechia) is doing something about that statistic.

They have chosen to stay within the royal theme with the song “My Sister’s Crown” and, as with the Norwegian song, it is about women fighting for recognition of so many kinds.

They do so in no less than 4 languages, English, Czech, Ukrainian and Bulgarian and for many fans it is a gift package.

For many, this is probably also a gift package of a song, a bit ethnic, a clear message and lots of girl power, why wouldn’t you like this?

Well, I don’t know quite personally, I guess this for me is getting a bit too messy for me to be completely seduced by this.

But, enough people will let themselves be seduced so that it will be crowded with queens at the we-went-to-the-final party and our own queen Alessandra probably has nothing against it.
